Paper Crafting 101

Now that you're in the club, WELCOME!  But now what?
Once you download your file, open it and print.  Sounds pretty easy, but there are ways to make your printables the best they can be!

1) In your printer settings make sure to select "BEST" in the quality options.
2) You can select "borderless" from your printers options when printing patterned papers.  This will give you a full page of pattern without any waste
3) Use 110 lb cardstock when printing most files (THIS one is my favorite!)
4) Don't want to print a full page of color? Print a black and white design onto colored cardstock.  This will save you a TON of ink!
5) You can print these files on more than just cardstock! You can feed blank iron on paper, canvas, vellum, tissue paper, sticker paper and more through most printers! (check with your printer's recommendations to be sure)
7) Your printer DOES matter.  Make sure to preform routine cleanings and test color page to keep them up to snuff.
8) I recommend an inkjet printer (THIS is the one I use)

Just getting started in paper crafting?  These are the beginner tools that are handy to have on hand:
